The latest of sennder’s value added services to carriers
Schwarzmüller Group customers will be offered sennder branded truck curtains and cash incentive
Offer to launch in Poland immediately, becoming available more broadly across Europe in Q3/2021
BERLIN, 20 July, 2021 – sennder, Europe’s leading digital road freight forwarder, and the Austrian Schwarzmüller Group, one of the largest providers of premium utility vehicles in Europe, have partnered to deliver a new value added service to the industry.
All Polish-based carriers purchasing a Schwarzmüller trailer will get offered a sennder branded trailer curtain. The carriers will not pay any fee for the curtain and will instead receive a one-off cash bonus.
The offer will initially be available in Poland and then expanded across Europe. Both sennder and Schwarzmüller operate in Europe, with Schwarzmüller particularly well positioned in Eastern Europe, being the market leader in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Switzerland.
The partnership is mutually beneficial to both companies. Schwarzmüller and sennder are continuously seeking to provide their carriers with new value added services and will also benefit from their respective brands becoming increasingly visible across Europe’s roads.
sennder and Schwarzmüller already have a close relationship. Schwarzmüller has ensured its trailers can be linked to sennder’s sennOS platform, allowing shippers to have greater, real-time visibility of the trucker’s journey when carrying their load.
The two companies will continue to discuss additional value-added services and collaborative agreements that will benefit the European freight sector.
Julius Koehler, co-founder and managing director of sennder, said: “The Polish market is one of Europe’s largest trucking markets; it’s critical for sennder’s growth. In Poland we have expanded our carrier base by over 35% the last year; this partnership with Schwarzmüller will further grow our brand visibility while providing carriers with a new value added service. At sennder we are always looking to partner with logistics sector peers. Schwarzmüller shares our vision to make logistics fit for the future; it is a pleasure working with the team.”
This announcement is sennder’s third strategic partnership of 2021, having already announced agreements with Michelin and Zeitfracht.
Roland Hartwig, CEO at Schwarzmüller Group says: “Until now trailer tarpaulin has been an underused space for commercial advertising. Typical trailer tarpaulin offers 90 square meters of communication space and is likely to be seen by a relevant audience of truck drivers. We are delighted to partner with sennder as we offer our suite of customers this latest value-added service.”
sennder was founded in 2015 by David Nothacker, Julius Köhler and Nicolaus Schefenacker and is now the leading digital European freight forwarder, offering shippers access to our connected fleet of thousands of trucks. In a traditional industry sennder is moving fast and focuses on the digitalization and automation of all road logistics processes. sennder manages over 12,500 trucks across Europe with an over 840 people strong team. By leveraging its proprietary technology, sennder builds an ecosystem that leads the industry into the 21st century with a new degree of transparency, efficiency and flexibility. sennder is backed by some of Europe’s leading investors including Baillie Gifford, Accel, Lakestar, HV Capital, Project A, Next47, Scania Growth Capital, Earlybird and Perpetual.
