Privacy Policy for Applicants governs how job candidate personal data is processed during recruitment [EN]



1. CONTROLLER

sennder Technologies GmbH, Genthiner Str. 34, 10785 Berlin, Germany (“sennder”), or one of the affiliates of sennder you directly apply to:

  • sennder Baltic, SIA,

  • sennder Benelux B.V.,

  • sennder Bucharest S.R.L.,

  • sennder C&C B.V.,

  • sennder Deutschland GmbH,

  • sennder France SAS,

  • sennder Iberia, S.L.U.,

  • sennder Polska Sp. z o.o., or

  • K.E. Expeditie B.V.

sennder and all these affiliates are joint controllers for this processing.

This means that these entities determine the purposes and means of processing jointly.

All entities have selected sennder to be your main contact for any enquiries.

2. PERSONAL DATA WE PROCESS, PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING AND LEGAL BASIS

We are very happy that you want to join us! To process your application properly, we need to have certain personal data of you.

When you apply directly to us, we will receive this personal data:

  • Your full name;

  • Your address;

  • Your email address;

  • Your phone number;

  • Your LinkedIn profile;

  • Information on your previous employments;

  • Your covering letter: and

  • Answers to certain qualifying questions for the job.

You may voluntarily provide us further information that you might think is beneficial to your application.

We may also receive this personal data from someone else, like a current employee of ours who recommends you, from an agency, or from your LinkedIn profile.

We process your personal data, as it is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into an employment contract (Art. 6(1)(b) of the GDPR), or certain more specific legal bases in certain countries, as applicable – like Section 26(1) of the German Data Protection Act, for instance.

If you consent to us storing your personal data for future open positions in our job pool, we store your personal data based on Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR (in connection with more specific law, as applicable, like Section 26(2) of the German Data Protection Act. Based on your consent, we may refer your personal data from sennder to one of the affiliates (or vice versa), or from one affiliate to another where your application may be relevant to that other entity to provide you with relevant job opportunities throughout all of sennder and its affiliates. We will send you one email before the end of our normal retention period (see below under IV.) to ask you whether you want your application to stay in the job pool, based on your interest to work with us and our interest in potentially providing you with another job possibility.

When we can offer you a position and you accept, we will forward your personal data to our People Ops team that will use your personal data to enter into the employment contract with sennder or one of its affiliates.

When we unfortunately are not able to offer you a position (or you do not accept our offer), we will retain your personal data for a certain period (see below under IV.) to enable us to defend ourselves against potential legal claims (Art. 6(1) (f) of the GDPR).

To provide us with your personal data is a requirement to enter into an employment contract. However, you are not obliged to provide us with your personal data, but we may not process your application in that case.

We do not use automated decision-making (including profiling).

3. RECIPIENTS OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

For our recruitment processes, we use the recruitment software as a service of Greenhouse Software, Inc. who is a processor to us. For internal purposes, we use certain tools of service providers which are also processors to us.

As far as those processors are outside the EU, we have ensured that appropriate and suitable safeguards are in place when no adequacy decision of the European Commission exists – like in the case of Greenhouse Software, Inc., we have concluded so-called Standard Contractual Clauses with the provider.

You may contact us through the information provided below to obtain a copy of the relevant safeguards. Please specify in your request which safeguards are or could be relevant to you.

When you are part of our job pool, sennder or other affiliates may receive your personal data for further review based on whether certain job offerings may be relevant to you.

4. RETENTION PERIODS

We will delete your personal data no longer than six months in the case we rejected your application (or you did not accept our offer). When you consented to further storing of your personal data in the job pool, we retain your personal data for a maximum of two years after your consent.

5. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to access your personal data, and you have the right to rectify or erase your personal data, to object to or to restrict the processing of your personal data, all pursuant to the GDPR.

When you gave us your consent for the job pool, you may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

You always have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
